Looking at alternative digital skills provision
We have a shortage of tech-skilled workers in the UK and tech job opportunities have hit a 10-year high, according to data from Tech Nation.
Today at Birmingham Tech Week, we launched a new project called Routes to Tech that looks at non-traditional (i.e. non-degree programme) digital skills provision as a way to help a larger and more diverse group of people into tech careers.
We have launched a new webpage and report that shares our initial research on employer awareness and perceptions about non-traditional routes to tech (e.g. bootcamps) as well as recommendations from employers and providers that can improve outcomes.
